Fishing at Guisachan Farm, Tomich

Guisachan Farm, Tomich is set amidst the scenic splendour of Glen Affric, often described as the most beautiful glen in Scotland, and home to one of the few remnants of the ancient Caledonian Pine Forest.

Guisachan (meaning the place of the fir in Gaelic) was built in the nineteenth century by Lord Tweedmouth as a model farm, leaving many fascinating associations with the history of the estate for visitors to enjoy today.

Guisachan is also home to one of the most famous brown trout fisheries in Scotland. Boats and ghillies may be booked in advance during the fishing season, which runs from late March to early October.

The hill lochs are situated a short walk from the farm and afford spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. The fishing is regularly booked from year to year by enthusiastic fishermen, so prior booking is essential.
